SPORTS, STEM & SERVICE: DESTINATION DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
Hosted by Tremont Sports, a subsidiary of Tremont Global Education, and in partnership with STEM Sports®, colleges and universities are invited to participate in all-inclusive study abroad experiences that include the opportunity to work with local schools, orphanages and charitable organizations in the implementation and donation of, sustainable STEM academic and athletic enrichment programs.

Travel schedules and itineraries to the Dominican Republic can be built to fit all budgets and outcomes. The itinerary below is only a sample and customized options are available for your specific sports or trip goals.
STEM SPORTS® CURRICULUM KITS
Groups travelling to the Dominican Republic will be equipped with two (2) complete STEM Sports® kits that will be left as legacy gifts to participating programs and communities. Each kit includes an easily administered teacher’s manual and reusable sporting and science equipment so the program can be fully implemented over time. The following sports programs and curriculum kits are available:

Entire sport-specific travel programs and sports team playing itineraries are available in Volleyball, Basketball and Soccer. Baseball-specific programs are offered for students and teams, though a unique curriculum is not currently available from STEM Sports®.

How does the STEM Sports study abroad program work?
Tremont Sports will partner with your college, university, school or group to participate in this unique short-term study abroad or faculty-led study abroad opportunity. All accommodations, meals, transportation and logistics, admissions and entrances are included in the price, including STEM Sports® kits and implementation opportunities. Sorry, but airline flights are not included in pricing; we'll help if you need the assistance booking travel.
How much does this unique experience cost?

How many participants are required to take advantage of this travel opportunity?
Pricing is based on a minimum group size of sixteen (16). Of course, solutions exist for groups of all sizes and we'd be happy to discuss all options available to you, including partnering with other colleges and universities. What type of accommodations are offered in the Dominican Republic?
3-star and 4-star resort property options exist, each including swimming pools, restaurants, snack bars, clean water stations, sports and activities and private access to white sand beaches and clear blue waters.

How much time will be spent on academic activities?
Students traditionally will spend between 8 and 16 hours implementing STEM Sports® activities during the course of their travels. However, every itinerary will be built with a partner's unique goals and objectives in mind; more or fewer hours can be added or taken away from different elements on the schedule to find the perfect fit.
What grades/ages does the STEM Sports® curriculum cover?
Composed specifically for grades 5-8, the program is adaptable and can be scaled and taught to younger or older groups in a variety of settings, including traditional classrooms, after-school programs and camps, or to support on-campus or education or student service inititative.
